A world waiting to be explored

Time Travel

At some point of time or the other in our lives, all of us must have thought about having a time machine. What if we could back in time and change things that we felt should not have happened, or just witness certain things in past, may be just being an invisible person and watching around everything like a wandering soul. What if we could just go ahead in the future and see what lies there. All these questions which seem so strikingly fascinating make a time machine all so desirous.

If a time machine was ever possible, I would have visited the future not to unravel what it has in store for me, that perhaps would make life less magical, less mystical, instead I would visit it to witness the end of the world, that day in 2012 when it is presumed to be scheduled. I’ll rather just be there to witness the hysteria all around, to see what I’ll be doing then in the final few hours. Will the world really come to an end, and if yes, how?

It would be interesting to observe how everything would change for that one final day. The doomsday would be the only day money would be powerless, and would be there for the taking, there won’t be any fear of burglary and theft. Sleep, one of the most priceless assets would not be pursued, for everyone is going to be asleep in a few while. When breaking a window pane won’t call for a repair and when eating and drinking won’t be as much fun as they are deemed to be.

To see all this happen would be interesting for sure, but what would be more interesting would be to sight that the end did that was vouched for did not happen. There would be ruckus for sure. All the actions in the preceding two hours might just have to be regretted, a shopkeeper might regret giving all its goods for free to everyone as the world was supposed to end. A thief might regret a chance that he let go by just because he knew the end was here. Merely, a thought is exciting enough.

Another reason that calls for a peak into the future might be the advent of robots and machinization. Though we have had TV shows and cartoons giving glimpses about how the future might be shaped up for us, but to actually be in a world where we have everything at our command with a tinge of perfection would be inexplicable.

If destiny may have it, we might just get to see a time machine as the next big thing in the world of innovation. Though from a superficial point of view, it sounds amazingly fantastic, but then everything in life comes with its own terms and conditions. There might be a cost to pay for fast forwarding to the future that we might have to pay. To live it with an element of uncanniness is something that was chosen, and to not fiddle with it might well perhaps be the finest things to do.

But then who knows we all might have come here in this generation through a time machine only, perhaps, we don’t realize it. Ponder over it, for it might just be the case.

20 things you should not miss in your lives: Part 2 (21-40)

After the response  20 things you should not miss in your lives got, it became almost imperative for me to write 21-40 things that should not be missed. It was just a matter of time that I make up my mind to write it. As a result, here I am giving you my next post. Without wasting any further time and flexing of your muscles, I would straight away get going with the post.

21. Stay awake for a few days at stretch. This works good in a few ways. You'll lose your health and gain people who care for you. And you will never feel that life can't be challenging.

22. Never tell all your secrets to people. There should be somethings only between you and yourself. They will remain with you always.

23. Take blame for a misdeed you haven't done. It's not always a Hi-Hello that starts friendships, gestures also do!

24. Date yourself. Go for a movie alone, then lunch, an evening stroll and then dinner. Being self-dependent need not always be on monetary terms.

25. Call random numbers and blurt out things randomly. They would mind but it's ok, they would smile thinking about it later. So, worth doing it anyways!

26. Make sure that atleast one of your teachers know you well enough, though the reason may not always be good. I say that because when you decide to visit your school/college after 10 years, you would have a reason to look up a face there, and all they are gonna remember about you would be that you were their student, good or bad won't matter then.

27. Call a radio station once and dedicate a song to your loved one. Your small gestures mean may be the world to someone.

28. Spend one full day honestly. Even if that means paying a hefty amount for a minor breach of traffic rule, or telling your parents that you got drunk last night. You would get into trouble and might even feel like not doing this, but you'll be at a different level, believe me!

29. List down all your desires and give that paper to your best critic. The rest would be history.

30. Smile at strangers. Some of them would give obnoxious looks, some would just move away, but there would be some who would just smile back.

31. Imitate people around you, crack jokes on them, write about their antics, draw a funny sketch of them, create a parody about them. Not only is this fun, but you might accidentally meet the artist in you.

32. Break into your friend's house silently at night to give them a surprise. Doesn't matter if you get caught or not, you would have a feeling of content that you followed your heart and did not worry about society nuances.

33. Irritate people and then laugh at them. They won't hit you anyways.

34. Always be well aware of your dreams and fantasies. And keep them separate. They are our best companions at different times.

35. Create a fake account on Facebook/Gmail, not with any evil intentions, but with a motto to explore the different kinds of people. Chat about anything to them, since they don't know of your identity, you can say anything without bothering much.

36. Watch a sport you hate the most. It's never too late before you start to live.

37. In extreme anger, just tear off a notebook of yours. This would not only help to alleviate your anger but when you are out of your anger phase, you would realize that anger only breaks things that you later cannot make.

38. Wake up one morning and book tickets for your friends and yourself to a hill station, all by yourself. Some of your friends would refuse, you might also incur monetary loss, but some would agree and you would have the time of your life. Money would not seem as much then!

39. Abuse, use slangs, experience the side of yourself, you hate, or you thought never existed.

40. Hate mistakes, but don't hate the defaulters. If they knew it was a mistake, they might not have done it. Spare a thought before you act. Life allows you that much time.

Yes, this 40th point does mark the ending of the post. I must confess these posts take longer time than usual, for me atleast. I hope this one is also worth it as the previous two:  20 things you should not miss in your lives and  25 things worth experiencing

Life is all about making most of the moments we have lying here and there.
